Is your child ready to stay home alone?
Whether you need to run an errand, have a child arriving home before you, or want to prepare for the next stage of independence, Home Alone Safety helps children develop the skills and confidence to handle time on their own.
Participants will learn:
• Telephone and door-answering safety
• Internet and online safety
• Accident and fire prevention
• Basic first aid
• How to respond to common situations and unexpected problems
• Time-management skills for after-school hours
• How to make safe, responsible decisions when an adult is not home
The goal is simple: help your child feel more prepared and independent while giving you greater peace of mind.
About Our Instructor
The class is led by Juanita Allen Kingsley, owner of AllenKingsley - Lifelong Learning Essentials.
Juanita holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. She completed her EMT training at Northeastern University and earned her Wilderness EMT Certification through Mountain Aid Training International.
Juanita teaches safety, first aid, CPR and preparedness courses throughout Massachusetts, helping children and young people develop practical skills, confidence and good judgment.
Location
The class takes place in the lower level of the DCH House. Please use the lower-level entrance located at the back of the main house.
